California Republican Lawmakers Sue to Stop Democrats Redistricting Attempt

Republican Lawmakers in California file a petition to stop Democrats’ redistricting efforts.  The petition was filed with the state Supreme Court.  It alleges the redistricting bills being pushed through the state legislature violates the state’s constitution by ignoring the 30-day review requirement.  Minority leader James Gallager says as much as Governor Newsom talks about Democracy, he seems to be trying to sidestep it.  Newsom’s office says he’s neither surprised or worried about the petition.
