Two suspects appear to have escaped after carjacking at least three vehicles during a police chase through Los Angeles County. The chase started late Sunday night, with the suspects in a pickup truck stolen out of Lancaster. They drove the wrong way on the 5 Freeway in Sylmar before carjacking a semitruck hauling milk. They drove the semitruck to downtown L.A., ending up on freeways and surface streets.
Eventually, they got out under an overpass and carjacked another pickup truck before bailing out of the truck and running away. The chase lasted more than an hour. The suspects are still on the loose as of early this morning, with multiple reports suggesting they took a fourth vehicle.
