A dozen CalTrans workers are in hot water for attending a hot party during working hours. A party for a retiring co-worker was being held at the Monterey Caltrans yard on Garden Avenue back on July 10th. The problem was the party allegedly included heavy drinking and a stripper. The L.A. Times reports ten of the employees have been fired. The other two are suspended. All can appeal the disciplinary action. Caltrans spokesman Matt Rocco tells The Times the alleged actions of the workers has absolutely no place in the department and stands in direct opposition to its values and ethical standards.
