The Los Angeles County District Attorney says the office will be filing charges against those who engage in criminal acts during anti-ICE demonstrations. At least eight people have been charged with various acts, from throwing objects at police, such as rocks, bottles and fireworks, to vandalism and looting. D.A. Nathan Hochman says if people want to hurl insults at officers, he’ll protect that, but if people hurl objects, he’ll prosecute them. He adds he anticipates dozens of more arrests as investigators comb through hours of social media, police body cam and news footage video.
