Marines Hit The Ground In Los Angeles

Marines are joining National Guard soldiers in protecting federal buildings and federal personnel in Los Angeles. Today is the first day the Marines will be on the streets. A release by U.S. Northern Command says there are approximately 17-hundred members of the National Guard’s 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team in L.A. That team is part of the National Guard’s 21-hundred-member Task Force 51 on Title 10 status in California. Marines are joining the 79th Infantry soldiers to assist in guarding federal properties and protect federal immigration agents carrying out immigration operations.
